This was a lesson I had to learn the hard way. I did not know how far away I was from myself until I started looking inward with as much honesty as I could gather. I had many relationships that were filled with fights and discontent, and in part this was my doing, because I was disconnected from myself in a way that forced me to create layers instead of coming forward with truthful vulnerability. I did not know that these layers created friction between me and other people, I did not know that these layers increased my burdens and moved me further away from myself and others, I did not know that there is a softness that comes with honesty and authenticity that allows two people to connect deeply.

I am not perfect and have never claimed to be so, but these days are different. After much inward observation and release, I do my best to come forward with what is real within me in a way that is compassionate towards myself and others. I do my best to live in a way where I am consistently undoing and eliminating the alienation between me and myself, or better yet releasing the falsehoods of ego that cloud the clarity and love of consciousness - living in this new way has attracted wonderful people into my life who also do their best to live through honesty and who are comfortable expanding their self awareness.

Know that honesty creates intimate connections and decreases the turbulence of life, while dishonesty always creates distance and problems that have to be dealt with at a future time. Ending your personal internal alienation through honest self observation, ideally with a practice (Vipassana meditation is what helped me) that assists you in going inward, will help you live a life of truthfulness, goodwill, and love. Sending love to all beings. May we all be happy and free.

Let light be your guide. ❤️ • One day I when I was meditating I suddenly felt a message from my heart that said “Always ask yourself, are you making your choices out of LOVE, or out of FEAR?” And I really let that sink in and continued to contemplate about it. I realized that so many of the things I was doing, and NOT doing - was because of fear. If we want this world to be filled with love and light, then we have to start on an individual level, with ourselves, and make sure that everything we do is out of love, and that we are not ruled or controlled by our fears. Only when we all live through love will it show on a larger scale and project onto the rest of the world. Eğer dünyanın ışık ve sevgiyle dolmasını istiyorsak, birey olarak, kendimiz yaptığımız her şeyin sevgi kaynaklı olduğuna emin olmalıyız, korkularımız tarafından yönetilip, kontrol edilmemeliyiz.
